Georgia Tech Pair win Collegiate Championship

Bo Han Zhu of Los Altos Hills CA and Vincent Zhu of Duluth GA moved from third place with one round to go to first place, averaging 59.13% for the two-sessions Collegiate Pairs Championship. The pair will split the $3000 scholarship prize.

Close behind in second place – and winning the 99er division – were Alan Yu of Longmont CO and Weilong Shen of Atlanta GA. They received a check for $2000. Their score was 58.45%

In third place in the open were Olivia Laufer of Toronto ON and Jasmine Xiong of Markham ON. They were a fraction of a matchpoint behind with 58.17% and will split the $1000 prize.

Second place in the 99er division was Alec Sun and Minkuan Xu, both of Pittsburg PA. They won the $1000 prize. The pair took first place in this division last year.

 

Second in the Collegiate Open Pairs, and first in the 99er strat, were Alan Yu of Longmont CO and Weilong Shen of Atlanta GA, with Robert Todd of the ACBL Educational Foundation.

Third place in the Collegiate Open Pairs were Olivia Laufer of Toronto ON and Jasmine Xiong of Markham ON.

Second place in the Collegiate 99er Pairs were Alec Sun and Minkuan Xu of Pittsburg PA.
