Please Read the Usage Agreement
The American Contract Bridge League ("ACBL") grants you permission to use the ACBL Intro to Bridge In-Person Course materials (“Materials”) at no cost for the purpose of offering beginning bridge classes with the stipulation that you offer ACBL Guest Membership to all of your students and make every effort to sign them up.
We recommend talking about the Guest Membership as a complimentary benefit earned for completing the course. Take the time in Classes 4-6 to talk up one of the benefits (e.g., access to digital bridge bulletin, weekly bridge tips specifically for beginners, ability to earn masterpoints, and discounted rate when converting to full member), culminating in having all of the non-member students complete the sign-up in Class 7.
The Materials include the Teacher Outlines, PowerPoint Slides, Student Manuals, Class and Practice hand PBNs and Class Videos. The Materials are copyrighted by ACBL, and all content remains the sole property of ACBL.
You agree to:
Not alter the course design or any of the materials.
Not share the materials in any form, with the sole exception that ACBL grants you permission to print the Manual and Handouts for your students in conjunction with the delivery of the course.
Deliver the course as designed, with each class having 90 minutes of instruction and practice as covered in the Teacher Outline plus an additional 30 minutes of supervised play.
What if anything you choose to charge for the course is at your discretion. You are responsible for collecting course fees and paying for all expenses associated with printing the materials and course delivery.
This Usage Agreement can be terminated at any time at the sole discretion of ACBL with 30 days, written notice. Any termination will not apply to currently running classes or upcoming classes already scheduled with paid advertising and/or registrants.
