The North American Bridge Championships (NABC) offers an excellent chance to dive into the world of bridge and explore the best of a new city.
More advanced players can play in premier events awarding platinum masterpoints; those looking for gold points will have plenty of opportunities, too. Newer players, and even absolute beginners, can learn and hone new skills in a dedicated space just for them.
Whether you’re here for a day, a weekend or all 10 days, it’s a wonderful time full of meeting fellow bridge players from all over and playing the world’s best card game.

The $10 entry fee discounts for those staying at The Galt House are accessible via Entry Express when you purchase entries. If you did not book a room through ConferenceDirect and made an independent reservation, please visit one of the Entry Express help desks upon arrival in Louisville. Each NABC has a wide variety of events each day, whether you’re just starting out, looking for gold points or aiming for an NABC title. The Full Schedule shows each event broken down by date and time and is color coded to help you find games to suit your interest.
Any player may purchase entries through Entry Express. To receive the $10 discount (if you qualify), you MUST use Entry Express. For more information check here.

Learn Bridge in A Day?
You’ll nail the basics of bridge in this interactive class that has both instruction and coached play. If you’re just starting, returning to the game or wanting to test the waters before taking formal lessons, this course is for you. Leave the class and take on a newcomer game!

Preempts in A Day
Learn how to bid and respond to Weak Twos and Preempts! This seminar is for players who want to explore basic preemptive bidding, both as an opening bid or an overcall. Topics include when to open weak twos and preempts,
and how to respond with both a strong hand or a weak hand with a good fit. Come join us and explore the ins and outs of these bids!

Beyond Bridge
Picture yourself challenging Bob Hamman and Joe Grue at backgammon, John Hurd and David Grainger at Catan, Eddie Wold at cribbage, or George Jacobs at pretty much any game! No masterpoints, no directors (except as players), just snacks, a cash bar, friends and fun.

Best Practices Teacher Workshop
This workshop covers proven techniques designed to enhance the effectiveness of teachers in their classrooms. The focus is on how, rather than what, to teach. Participants may opt to demonstrate their Best Practices proficiency on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning to earn certification as an ACBL Best Practices teacher. Reception for Club Officials and Teachers
The ACBL hosts this reception to say thank you to the club officials and teachers who recruit and retain our members. We invite club managers, teachers and club directors to attend. Teacher Breakfast Meeting
See presentations from ABTA Master Teachers of award-winning teaching materials and learn how the ACBL and ACBL Educational Foundation can help you. Local Bourbon Distilleries
Louisville is known as Bourbon City, and as such, is home to countless bourbon experiences, like distillery tours, cocktail tastings and more. There are 11 distilleries to explore, from the historic to the artisanal.
Kentucky Derby Museum
The Kentucky Derby Museum is an American Thoroughbred horse racing museum located on the grounds of Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Dedicated to preserving the history of the Kentucky Derby, it first opened its doors to the public in the spring of 1985.
Louisville Slugger Museum
Leaning like an all-American obelisk on its building, the Louisville Slugger Museum’s signature giant-size baseball bat is recognized as the biggest piece of ash that will never see any action on the diamond. Inside the facility, visitors are treated to a baseball experience that details the history of this iconic Major League Baseball fixture since 1884.
Muhammad Ali Center
Located in downtown Louisville, the Muhammad Ali Center features two and a half levels of award-winning exhibits exploring Ali’s epic life and core values. The center also includes a five-screen orientation film, Civil Rights Era media footage, video of Ali fights, hands-on boxing fun and art galleries.
Frazier History Museum
n affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the Frazier is home to one of the largest collections of toy soldiersand historic miniatures on permanent public display in the world, The Stewart Collection. Subjects of other permanent exhibitions include historic arms, bourbon whiskey, and the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Founded in 2004 as a museum of historical arms and armor, the Frazier has since expanded its focus to cover regional, national, and international history.
Speed Art Museum
The Speed Art Museum in Louisville is Kentucky’s oldest and largest art museums and features a fantastic collection spanning more than 6000 years of human history. Travel + Leisure Magazine calls it one of “The World’s Most Beautiful New Museums.”
Conrad-Caldwell House Museum
Constructed by local architect Arthur Loomis, the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum is nestled in Old Louisville and sits among the largest collection of Victorian homes in the United States. From beautiful woodwork to magnificent stained-glass windows, the historic house has been lovingly restored to the Edwardian Era, complete with items owned by the Conrads and Caldwells.
