District 6 snags NAP B
Winners of the Golder North American Pairs Flight B, Ryan Connors of Alexandria VA and Rick Bingham of Fairfax VA
Ryan Connors of Alexandria VA and Rick Bingham of Fairfax VA barely edged their way into the second day of the Golder North American Pairs Flight B. They qualified in 37th place out of 40. Two strong final sessions – 61.74% and 59.94% – brought their score up to 604, almost six matchpoints ahead of second place finishers, District 22’s Marc Franklin of Newport Beach CA and Harvey Jaffe of Huntington Beach CA. Franklin and Jaffe led the event most of the way but had an under-average second final session.

Connors and Bingham are no strangers to North American Events: Connors won NAP Flight C in 2004 and Connors and Bingham have been third and fourth in B. Their team also won the online version of last summer’s Grand National Teams in Flight B.
In third place were District 19’s father-son duo Gianni Hsieh and Frank Hsieh of Sammamish WA.
