ACBL Live for Clubs is a new, improved system for displaying club game results. While similar to ACBL Club Results, the new system shows more information, has personalized results pages, is easier to navigate and has the familiar look and feel of ACBL Live’s tournament results.

We’ve added several new features for clubs and players. Clubs have a customizable homepage where you can add a logo and leave a message for players. Players will see improvements like a personal results page, creating a list of favorite clubs for faster searches and an easier-to-navigate interface.

Players can view results for games from clubs who are participating in Live for Clubs. Players can log in via the ACBL Live for Clubs page or MyACBL with their MyACBL credentials to view a personal results page, and save a list of their Favorite Clubs. Additionally, on each club page there are links to extra resources, like an ACBLscore gamefile, a Usebio XML file, BWS contract information file and a PBN hand record file. If players have the correct software, they can import hand records into a hand-playing software to re-play hands.

An exciting advancement in ACBL Live for Clubs is the opportunity for personalization. In addition to creating a list of your favorite clubs, you will have personal list of your results from every club that you play in and uses ACBL Live for Clubs. On the club page, you can see the contracts and declarers of other partnerships. Your club may also include messages on its page.

The Reference Data available on the club pages are files that can be downloaded to view the game information in other software, like ACBLscore. The ACBLscore gamefile and BWS contract information file contain detailed information about the game session. The ACBLscore GameFile can be opened in ACBLscore. The BWS file can be opened in BridgePads or BridgeMates Control software. The Usebio XML file also contains detailed information about the game session but in a standard XML format (described at usebio.org). The PBN hand record file contains the hands played in the game. You may import this file into a bridge hand-playing software to replay the hands.

If your club has been using ACBL Club Results, encourage them to try the improved system, ACBL Live for Clubs. If your club doesn’t currently use ACBL Club Results, ask them to look into the new features available in ACBL Live for Clubs.

The most important task for club managers is to ensure that each of your club directors have been listed in ACBL’s records. You can check this by going to your MyACBL portal on the Club Information page and clicking on “Edit Directors”. In order for club directors to upload files into ACBL Live for Clubs, they must have these credentials. Additionally, when you log into your ACBL Live for Clubs account, you can use the Manage Live for Clubs page to customize your club’s page with a club logo or post a message to players.

The club director’s process for uploading results and other supporting files is about the same as how they use ACBL Club Results. See our detailed instructions for more information.

There is no need to keep uploading to Club Results if you start using Live for Clubs. A link to Live for Clubs will be placed on your club’s old Club Results page so that players can find your new results pages.

You’ll need the appropriate gamefile and any accompanying hand records or BWS files, if available.
See our detailed instructions for more information.

See our detailed instructions for using ACBL Live for Clubs as a club director. If you need to upload a correction, simply return to the upload page and upload the new version of your gamefile. If you still see an error, visit your Manage Results page to delete the incorrect gamefile.

Anytime after the game ends.

Players will only have the option to receive emails with their personal results information once you have enabled the function through your ACBL Live for Clubs account. Simply turn on the Player Score Emails in your notification preferences. If the members are already subscribed to ACBL emails, they will begin getting email notifications immediately. If the members have unsubscribed, they must change their privacy settings via MyACBL.

Please contact our club support team at liveforclubs.support@acbl.org or 855-275-7629 (U.S.) or 888-219-9901 (Canada).

To automatically share your results with third-party websites (e.g., The Common Game, BridgeWebs) from Live for Clubs, you have to enable the function through your ACBL Live for Clubs account. Simply check the box for the websites you would like to automatically share with in your Third-Party Sharing preferences.

See our detailed instructions on how to turn on third-party sharing here.

If you have sharing with The Common Game turned on, and you upload a game that did not use hand records from The Common Game, you will receive an email notification from The Common Game that those results will not be displayed on their website.
