Chief Corporate Sponsor of the 2014 Fall NABC in Providence
The Creative Capital
The 2014 Fall NABC will be held in beautiful Providence RI. Providence combines the accessibility and friendliness of a small town with the culture and sophistication of a big city. It’s the perfect atmosphere for the Fall North American Bridge Championships.
Most of the bridge play will be at the Rhode Island Convention Center located approximately five minutes from the four host hotels (Biltmore, Courtyard, Hilton and Omni). You will have the opportunity to enjoy bridge at all skill levels, from newcomer to advanced, daily.
Not only do you have restaurants conveniently located within the hotels, but many others to choose from within an easy walking distance.
In addition to the challenge and fun of playing bridge, you will be enchanted with of WaterFire on Saturday, November 29 at dusk. This presentation of WaterFire is created especially for NABC guests. WaterFire is an award-winning sculpture by Barnaby Evans installed on the rivers of downtown Providence in Waterplace Park, a short walk from the host hotels and convention center. Well known nationally and internationally as a community arts event, WaterFire is simultaneously a free public art installation, a performance work, an urban festival, a civic ritual and a spiritual communal ceremony. The more than 80 sparkling bonfires combined with the fragrant scent of aromatic wood smoke, flickering firelight on the arched bridges, silhouettes of the firetenders passing by the flames, torch-lit vessels traveling down the river and the enchanting music from around the world will engage your senses and emotions. It is truly a must see experience.
