U.S. takes Gold in Venice Cup, Transnationals; Silver in Seniors

ACBL-based squads took home gold medals in the Venice Cup and in the Transnational Teams at the world championships in Bali, Indonesia, which ended Sunday.

USA2 narrowly defeated England in the final of the Venice Cup 229-220.3 to take home the gold.

In the Transnational Open Teams, the U.S. squad led by Mark Gordon captured the gold medal after defeating the Chinese squad SAIC VW in the final 92-81.

In the d’Orsi Senior Bowl, USA2 was silver after losing to Germany in the final 172-161.
