New Website Feature
To make this website easier to use, the ACBL has implemented a new feature we call short URLs.
A URL is the “address” you type in the empty window at the top of your Internet browser page to take to you to a specific site. For example, typing www.acbl.org in the window of your Internet browser takes you to the ACBL homepage.
Via the new short URL feature, you can go directly to the specific topic that interests you in a single step - without having to search through content bars and pull-down menus from the homepage.
Say you want to look up zero tolerance. In your browser’s address window, you would type:
and press enter/return, and you bypass the homepage to directly access the information on the ACBL’s Zero Tolerance Policy. Please note the syntax: you must use the full homepage prefix (www.acbl.org), a forward slash (/) and your topic. If your topic contains more than one word, omit the space(s) between words.
If you end up getting a “Page Not Found” screen, it means one of two things: We may not have a short URL set up for that topic yet, or you may have typed the URL incorrectly.
Below is a list of the topics we have already created short URLs for. Please email email@example.com with new topics you’d like to see. Your feedback is important to us!
