Paper Points Still Good
The widespread use of ACBLscore made club masterpoint certificates obsolete in the mid-Nineties, but now and then through the years, Members have sent in their hoards of the once-ubiquitous pieces of paper for recording. The latest is Milton Van Reed of Terre Haute IN, who recently sent a box filled with 777 club masterpoint slips. Margaret Bloodworth, in Club and Member Services, spent an entire day adding the slips and entering the totals by year in the ACBL data base. Van Reed ended up with 366.98 extra black points on his total. Van Reed said he found the forgotten slips – dated from 1982 to through 1994 – in a drawer at home.
