AARP and ACBL Tournament Games
The AARP hosted five ACBL tournaments at regionals this year, culminating in the "The Bridge to Anaheim" tournament during AARP's Life@50+|AARP's National Event & Expo. Oct. 26-28 in Anaheim CA. The tournament will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28..
This is the first opportunity to bring tournament play to the AARP's 35 million members. Duplicate bridge and rubber bridge are the same game --- only the scoring and execution of the game are different. If you are unfamiliar with duplicate, please visit the ACBL brochure "The Exciting World of Bridge: An Introduction to Duplicate."
The East-West and North-South winning pairs at each game received admission to Life@50+ and three nights' lodging in Anaheim. The tournament in Anaheim will be open to all event participants. Membership in the ACBL is not required. The AARP event draws up to 30,000 participants and features entertainers such as this year's Elton John.
