News from the World Championships in Veldhoven
Five of the six U.S. teams at the world championships in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, remain in qualifying positions after four days of play.
In the Bermuda Bowl, U.S. squads were in third and sixth places in a field of 22 teams. The top eight will advance from the round-robin to the knockout phase. In the Venice Cup (the Women’s championship), U.S. teams occupied the third- and fourth-place spots. In the d’Orsi Senior Bowl, USA-2 is currently in second place, but USA-1 has dropped to 10th.
The Canadian squads in all three events continue to struggle, with the Women’s team (in 12th after four days) closest to the qualifying spot.
