Helen R. Gustafson 1923–2011

Helen Gustafson, Des Moines IA, died June 23 of lung cancer. The former Iowa State University homecoming queen grew up to become a Grand Life Master, with a variety of stops along the way. Playing with her husband, John, Gustafson won the Rockwell Mixed Pairs in 1983, and the Truscott/USPC Senior Swiss in 1997. She placed 15th in the 1990 World Senior Pairs in Geneva. A full obituary will appear in a future issue of the Bridge Bulletin.
