Edith Kemp Freilich

ACBL Bridge Hall of Fame member Edith Freilich (formerly Kemp, nee Seamon) died May 14. Freilich, Life Master No. 70, was one of the greatest women players of all time: She was one of only two women players ever to win all three major team championships — the Vanderbilt, Spingold and Reisinger (the other was fellow Hall of Fame member Helen Sobel Smith).

Freilich won 28 NABC titles during her career, and was second in the World Women’s Pairs in 1966.

A full obituary will appear in the July issue of the Bridge Bulletin.
