Arnold, Kokish honored for long service to bridge
Russ Arnold, Grand Life Master, world champion and nine time North American champion, has been selected by the ACBL Bridge Hall of Fame Committee as the recipient of the von ZedtwitzAward for long service to bridge combined with expertise as a player.
The same committee selected Eric Kokish as the recipient of the Blackwood Award, given to the player who has served bridge without necessarily being a top flight player. Kokish is, however, is an accomplished player, with two North American championships to his credit along with silver medals in the Bermuda Bowl and the World Open Pairs.
Induction ceremonies for the two will take place during the 2011 Summer NABC in Toronto.
