World Championships Update

At the ongoing World Bridge Series Championships in Philadelphia, 64 teams have made it to the knockout phase of the World Open Knockout Teams (the Rosenblum Cup) after three days of qualifying play. Head-to head play starts today. The leading qualifiers are the Martin Fleisher squad, who finished with 189 victory points, followed closely by Lou Ann O’Rourke (187) and Neil Rosen (180).

In the World Women Knockout Teams (the McConnell Cup), the 16 qualifiers will have the day off today, starting their KO phase on Saturday. The two group leaders were Valerie Westheimer and Full Spectrum Auctions.
