Images of New Orleans

What is your favorite memory of NABC New Orleans? Perhaps one of the two thrilling team finals; Dinkins versus Westheimer in the Wagar, or Spingold's Diamond versus Meltzer? Both events kept kibitzers on the edge of their chairs until virtually the last hand.
Maybe Jill Meyers' fabulous performance, with top 4 finishes in every event she entered, plus a commanding win with teammates Gary Cohler and Lew and Joanna Stansby in the Mixed B-A-M?
Possibly it was New Orleans cuisine; warm beignets with chicory-laced coffee, or sumptuous dining at one of a multitude of to-die-for restaurants.
If you have kids or keep an eye on the future of bridge, then another uber-successful Youth NABC could have been your New Orleans' highlight.
"All of the above" dazzled me. In the end, however, my best memory remains all those who came to compete. Whether they earned a "#1" after their name or not, whether they are stars or newbies ľ the people of our bridge world are beyond compare.
