Bridge Is for All
By Janet Case
The Charlotte (NC) Bridge Association hosts a weekly game for visually impaired. Players use Braille playing cards which have a raised pattern of dots. The game averages four to five tables and includes a few sighted players.
The game was started by Dick Frey of Harrisburg NC more than 30 years ago. Pat Bradshaw of Charlotte took over after Dick’s death in 2008. Some of the players have been members from the beginning.
