Two For One

The Water Mill Bridge Club of Southampton NY honored Leonard Harmon recently. Harmon achieved Diamond Life Master and also had his 90th birthday. A dinner was held at the club in his honor.
Harmon, of East Hampton NY, won the Spingold and Vanderbilt Knockout Teams, the Reisinger Board-a-Match Teams and the Chicago Mixed Board-a-Match Team. In 1958, he claimed the McKenney Trophy, now known as the Barry Crane Top 500.
Harmon represented North America in world play in 1959, finishing second in the Bermuda Bowl. He is a retired president of an insurance company.
