Bridge is Going To The Dogs

Pompano (FL) Duplicate Bridge Club hosted the fourth annual charity drive for their local chapter of Pets In Distress. The Posnack JC Center Duplicate Bridge Club, of Davie FL, added the money from their August charity game.

With the help of their caring bridge players, they presented $750, along with food and pet toys, to the Pets In Distress organization.

At the break, there was a dog show with nine wonderful dogs participating! Three prizes were awarded. Attendance was double the norm, and the atmosphere was social and cooperative. There were lots of smiles, as is usual when there are pets present, and enjoyable to see people playing with a dog in their arms.
