Fun at the Club

Members of the Pembina Bridge Club in Morden, Manitoba, Canada and the nearby Carman Club, joined forces recently to celebrate. July 23 was their director, Walter Dedio's 71st birthday. Walter was indeed surprised to see club members arriving in fancy clothes: long gowns, mink stoles, fancy jewelry, white shirts and ties. One club member wore his traditional Ukrainian shirt. Walter disappeared, then reappeared a few minutes later wearing his own Ukrainian shirt.

Walter's strength as a director has made this small club in a rural town a fun place to play duplicate bridge. (Photos submitted by Elvene Hamilton)
