Richard Freeman, 1933–2009

Dick Freeman, a multiple North American and world champion and a member of the ACBL Hall of Fame, died in Atlanta June 29 of complications from pancreatitis. Best known for his longtime partnership with Nick Nickell and as a member of the highly successful Nickell team, Freeman was on track to participate in yet another world championship this fall, the Bermuda Bowl, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
