Jim Linhart

1936 — 2009

Jim Linhart, a Grand Life Master and full-time player, died of a stroke in Charleston SC Jan. 5. Linhart, 72, was stricken during the MABC New Year's Regional in Charleston. He was 72.

Formerly of New York City and Florida, Linhart was living in Raleigh NC at the time of his death.

He was a member of the winning squad in the 1975 Mixed Board-a-Match Teams, playing with Helen Utegaard, Nancy Gruver and Gerald Caravelli. He was on the runner-up squad in the Senior Knockout Teams in 1997. He had nearly 21,000 masterpoints.
