Indian Experts Win Wernher Open Pairs
Two members of the Indian international team – K. R. Venkataraman and Sunit Chokshi – are the winners of the Wernher Open Pairs. Their final score was 3007.51 (90 top), 16.34 matchpoints ahead of the runners up, the father son partnership of Don Piafsky of Toronto ON and Barry Piafsky of New York NY.
K. R. (“Venky”) is a financial consultant in Chennai, India. Sunit is in the construction business in Ahmedabad, India. Both are members of the team that will represent India in the World Mind Sports Games in Beijing, China, in October.
