USBC in Quarterfinal Stage

The United States Bridge Championship is down to eight teams as players battle for the right to represent the U.S. in the World Mind Sports Games in Beijing, China, starting Oct. 3, in the event formerly known as the World Bridge Team Olympiad.

The matches, by captain, are Aubrey Strul vs. Jiang Gu, Nick Nickell vs. Jim Mahaffey, Harry Tudor vs. Roy Welland and George Jacobs vs. Warren Spector. Nickell and Strul had byes to the quarterfinal round.
