How exciting is it to win your first ACBL NABC championship?

This exciting.

As their teammates compared, Mike and Carolyn waited eagerly. Ultimately, Carolyn Lynch and her squad of Mike Passell, Joe Grue, Curtis Cheek, Bart Bramley and Eddie Wold seized the event in style. The victors led wire to wire, winning 7 of 8 matches during the final day.

The championship was especially sweet, as Boston is the Lynch family’s home town. Husband Peter, famed investor of Fidelity’s Magellan Fund, and their daughter, Annie, posed with Carolyn following her team’s win. Peter was intrigued with the workings of screens. Thus, the tool used in high level competition is highlighted in their celebration. Carolyn and Mike also offered huge smiles alongside the screen.

Partner Mike was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame. He and the rest of Captain Carolyn’s team are all competitors quite familiar with the winner’s circle.

Still, when your captain is someone as eager, hard-working and charming as Carolyn, the thrill is catching. From this team photo, you might think that everyone had just earned their first NABC win!
