Nancy Spencer and Mary Goodman of Halifax, Nova Scotia, decided to take their passion to the next level. After about two and a half years of play and 50 masterpoints earned, the two women traveled to their first national tournament, in Boston.
Call it beginners’ luck, if you like – though my guess is it is plenty of ability: the ladies won the 0-300 game with over 63%!
Nancy learned "kitchen bridge" years ago; Mary took lessons and got hooked. Now that they are champs, my guess is that more NABCs are in their future!
