Nashville NABC
The 79th edition of the Summer NABC officially begins tomorrow with the opening-day pairs games. The tournament, which takes place in Nashville, will feature a variety of major championships and many other secondary events, including a full slate of games for newcomers.
The major championships will be the Von Zedtwitz Life Master Pairs, a three-day event starting Friday; the Spingold Knockout Teams, a week-long event starting Monday, and the Wagar Women's Knockout Teams, also starting Monday. Other nationally rated events are on tap: the Werhner Open Pairs, the Mixed Board-a-Match Teams, the Truscott Senior Swiss Teams and the Fast Open Pairs.
Also on tap: the Bruce LM--5000 Life Master Pairs, the Young LM-1500 Life Master Pairs and the 0--5000 and 0--1500 Mini-Spingolds.
The Grand National Teams -- four flights: Championship, A, B and C --- gets under way today in Nashville and will be completed by tomorrow evening.
