Caley and Gordon in CWTC Final

Teams captained by Sylvia Caley and Dianna Gordon made it to the championship round of the Canadian Women's Team Championship. Play concludes today. The winner will face a team from Mexico in a playoff for the right to play in the Venice Cup at the World Bridge Championships in Shanghai, China, this fall.

In the Canadian Open Teams Championship, the semifinal matchups, by captain, are Paul Thurston - Aidan Ballantyne and Mark Molson (honorary npc)/Robert Lebi - Waldemar Frukacz. The winning team will also face a team from Mexico with a berth in the Bermuda Bowl in Shanghai at stake.

The Canadian Senior Teams Championship is also underway. The winner of that event earns an automatic berth in the Senior Bowl in Shanghai.
