NEW PARKING RATES AT MARRIOTT WARDMAN PARK
ACBL has negotiated an additional discount on parking at the Marriott Wardman Park. The daily self parking rate is now $15.00! The overnight self parking rate is now $25.00 (plus tax)!

Are you planning to drive to Washington, D.C. for our Summer NABC, but don’t want to pay the rates for daily parking at your hotel?

Many of our local players have offered to share their driveways and streets at no cost!!

• As a service to out-of-towners who choose to stay at the Marriott Wardman Park or another local hotel where parking may be difficult and/or expensive, many local players have offered their suburban residences as an “off-site” parking alternative.
• You will be required to sign a form, releasing the player who has offered street parking in front of her house or in her driveway, from any liability in the unlikely event any damage may occur to your car during such time as it is parked there—locals are offering space where they themselves and their house guests park their vehicles, but there are, of course, no guarantees.
• You will be required to get yourself back to your hotel from the site where you leave your car—walking directions to the closest metro or phone numbers for cabs will be provided at such time as your request is confirmed. If you plan to come and stay the week or more, even a cab ride to and from the hotel will result in considerable savings.
• If you are interested in pursuing this option, please contact Fred King at fredmking@gmail.com and beginning in May, he will pair you with a local who has offered this “service”.

Other options include:

• Leave your car at the long term parking lot at Reagan National Airport. This costs only $12.00 per day and the hotel is easily reachable by either subway or cab from the airport.
• Some of the airport hotels offer parking at rates from $10 to $12 per day and can be reserved in advance for a small service fee. See www.parkingaccess.com for more information.
• Some other airport hotels will allow cars to be left on their lots for free if you spend at least one night at the hotel. These hotels cost between $112.00 and $200.00 per night. See www.buyreservations.com for more details.

At UDC (University of the District of Columbia) parking is available for $8/day. UDC is located at 4200 Connecticut Ave., about 1.5 miles north of the hotel. The lot is covered. It is two stops away on the Metro** Red Line ($1.35 each way). In addition, there are Metrobuses on Connecticut Ave.

** UDC parking is available on a daily basis. There is no overnight parking. Parking at a metro station can only be done on a daily basis, not long term.

Park at a Metro lot and take the Metro to Marriott Wardman Park. Parking at Metro-operated lots is FREE on weekends and federal holidays. Approximate daily parking rates are between $3.25 and $8.25
