
Orlando will play host to the 2004 Fall North American Bridge Championships Nov. 18–28. You won’t want to miss this great event which promises tons of bridge fun in sunny central Florida.
One of the tourism capitals of the world, Orlando hosts more than 40 million visitors a year.
In addition to the non-stop bridge action, there are hundreds of attractions in the Orlando area that make it a travel destination for the entire family. Disney's theme parks are in located in nearby Kissimmee FL, about 20 miles southwest of downtown Orlando, while the Universal Studios complex and SeaWorld are both located on International Drive, just minutes from downtown. Winter Park, an upscale shopping and dining area, is in East. The downtown area features first-rate museums, dining and nightlife.
Climate
Many people visit Florida come because of the warm weather. Even in winter, there is no snow and the temperature is usually in the 60s during the day, dropping to the 40s in the evening.
Transportation
Orlando International Airport is conveniently located only 15 minutes from the downtown area as well as all of the major attractions. The airport is home to all major rental car companies, and the city's Lynx public transportation system connects all areas of Orlando. Taxi and limousine service is available to any destination in the area as well. The I-Ride trolley service provides transportation from destination to destination along International Drive, with scheduled stops every 15 minutes.
