Resource Center

ACBL is proud to introduce its new online Resource Center, your one-stop shop for everything bridge! The ACBL Resource Center is designed to be a convenient, easy-to-use tool that allows members of the bridge community to order or download virtually anything they need to grow the game, support their clubs and improve their skills.

The Resource Center is the new hub for all things bridge, and contains all materials offered by the ACBL in one place. The best part – ordering online is as easy as shopping on Amazon, and EVERYTHING, including shipping, is free.

The Resource Center has materials for players, District and Unit officials, teachers and club owners to do anything from promote their club locally to get started for fundraising for next year’s Longest Day efforts.

  3. Hourly Rate of Pay

    2. What expenses will you have?
      1. Advertising
      2. Site Rental Fee
      3. Books
      4. Refreshments
      5. Mailing Costs

    2. Are you free at the time of day best suited for the age group you are interested in? (For example, Senior classes are generally offered during the day.)
  5. Bridge Knowledge of Students
    1. Consider that some students may never have played any card games.
    2. Consider that the language of bridge may be a foreign language to beginning students.
    3. C. What do you expect?
  6. Time Your Students Are Expected to Spend on Bridge Between Classes
    1. How much time do you expect them to spend?
    2. How much available time do they have?
    3. C. Are they willing to spend more time than class time on bridge?
  7. Team-Teaching or Alone
    1. If you teach with a partner-
      1. Division of responsibilities?
      2. Sharing of Profits?
    2. If you should teach alone-
      1. How will you arrange for a substitute if an emergency keeps you from
        teaching a class?
      2. How will you handle make-up lessons for students?

Recruitment Incentives

The ACBL recognizes that bridge teachers and club officials are its primary source of new members. Many incentives are in place for new members including a New Member packet sent when your students first join followed by four issues of the New Member Newsletter and then four issues of an eNewsletter for 2nd year members called “Duplicate Insight.” The ACBL shows its appreciate to teachers and club official with a monetary reward. A $100 gift certificate to Baron Barclay Bridge Supplies is earned every time a teacher or a club official recruits 25 new members during a calendar year and a bonus check of $500 is awarded for 100 members recruited over time. In addition, all teachers and club officials are invited to attend ACBL’s Thank You party held on the first Friday of each NABC. Thank you, teachers, for all you do!
