I started duplicate in the fall of 1970 as a condition of marriage. My proudest achievements are having partners that are better than I am and helping less experienced players.

Roger and I enjoy hosting newer players for dinner and bridge. We invite local experts to give mini-lessons.
Considered an expert in “collective leadership” – people doing as a group what they cannot do individually. My pragmatic approach has given me opportunities to serve as a nonprofit board member and strategist in the areas of leadership, strategic change, facilitation and organizational development. I have 35 years of experience developing programs for people at all levels in education, politics, business and the community. I am co-author of Implementing and Sustaining Your Strategic Plan (2011), Leadership for the Common Good Fieldbook: Tools for Working in a Shared-Power World (2003), Facilitation Resources (1999) and contributed to Mapping Your Retirement (2007).
For over 25 years I worked at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School where I was Director of Professional Development programs as well as Director of the Reflective Leadership Center and its midcareer International Fellowship Programs. When I retired from the University of Minnesota, I co-founded Aurora Consulting where I continued to help others hone their leadership skills.
